This is a 3-hour elective course that explores how marijuana affects the Real Estate industry.

The course will cover the following: 

  • Distinguish between the federal and state laws that relate to marijuana, and the conflicts that exists.
  • Identify and explain the basis of court findings, and how those conclusions apply to the real estate industry
  • Describe the issues and concerns for buyers/tenants, sellers/landlords, and licensees involved in real estate transactions.

This is not a mandatory course, but it offers licensees an alternative in meeting up with the 15-hour Continuing Education requirement for renewal.

  • At the end of the course, the participants receive 3 of hours to their credit.

  • This class is for Real Estate Salesperson and Associate Brokers looking to fulfill their license renewal requirements for Maryland.

Is this course required?

No, this course is an elective credit for the State of MD. Tristar Academy is an approved CE provider by the MREC.
