Pennsylvania salespersons and brokers complete 14 hours of Commission-approved continuing education every two-year renewal cycle. Licenses expire May 31 of every even-numbered year.

What you need
CE by license type
Salespersons – first renewal
Complete 14 hours of Commission-developed modules through an approved education provider. These modules take the place of the standard 14-hour requirement.
Salespersons & brokers – later renewals
Complete 14 hours of Commission-approved CE. The Commission sets mandatory topics for each cycle; the 2024–2026 cycle required 3 hours of Agency and 2 hours of Fair Housing.
Reactivating an inactive license
Complete 14 hours of approved CE. Those hours can’t also count toward your next renewal.

Rules & reminders
- Courses must be approved by the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission before you complete them. Look up approved providers on PALS.
- CE may be completed in a classroom, by live webinar or online.
- Keep your course completion certificates for your records.
