Your AI Marketing Could Be a Fair Housing Problem. This Maryland CE Class Fixes That.

Here's an uncomfortable truth for 2026. Most agents are already using AI to write captions, listing descriptions, and ad copy, but almost none have been trained on what that means for compliance. AI can produce a discriminatory phrase, a steering pattern, or an MREC advertising violation just as fast as it produces a clean post. And when a complaint lands, "the software wrote it" is not a defense.

If you're a Maryland real estate licensee using AI in any part of your marketing or client communication, this is the continuing education you actually need.

Tristar Academy, an MREC approved provider, is teaching a five day real estate CE track at the 2026 BlockchAIn Bootcamp Conference in Laurel, Maryland. Courses are led by Mona Hall McKenzie, Esq., a real estate attorney, and every session ties straight back to the rules that protect your license.

What This Track Covers That Matters to Your License

  • The MREC advertising requirements that apply to AI generated social media content, including team name and brokerage disclosure rules
  • How AI driven ad targeting has already triggered Fair Housing settlements, and how to keep your own posts clean
  • Neighborhood and listing language that crosses the Fair Housing line, and how to audit AI output before it publishes
  • Disclosure best practices when AI generated images, virtual staging, or testimonials are involved
  • Supervising broker responsibilities for agent and team social media

You'll also cover the blockchain side of risk reduction: immutable transaction records that protect you against post closing document disputes and serve as real E&O insurance for individual agents.
